PS Millah Courtesy Call to the Norwegian Parliament
The State Department for Shipping and Maritime Affairs has reaffirmed Kenya’s commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation with Norway following a courtesy call to the Norwegian Parliament by the Principal Secretary, State Department for Shipping and Maritime Affairs, Mr. Aden A. Millah, alongside Kenya’s Ambassador to Norway, H.E. Angeline Kavindu Musili, MBS.
During the engagement, the Principal Secretary underscored the importance of deepening Kenya–Norway relations, with a focus on attracting Norwegian investment into Kenya’s shipping and maritime sector to unlock economic opportunities, create jobs and enhance the sector’s competitiveness.
The discussions also emphasised the need to establish exchange programmes and strengthen partnerships between Kenyan and Norwegian maritime training institutions to promote knowledge sharing, skills development and capacity building.
The engagement reaffirmed the two countries’ shared interest in leveraging international partnerships to advance maritime education, investment and sustainable growth in Kenya’s blue economy.
