Principal Secretary, Mr. Shadrack Mwadime EBS, MBS during the official launch of the Bandari Maritime Academy (BMA) Strategic Plan 2021-2025

The Principal Secretary stated that a strategic plan is only useful if the institution and the stakeholders obtain a clear understanding of its objects and purposefully aspire to implement the various strategic themes and objectives.  He encourages the Academy to focus on the plan in its entire decision making process so as to give value for resources utilization. Where need arises for revision of goals due to the dynamism in the maritime sector, this should be addressed as a priority.

He noted that the launch of the BMA Strategic Plan, is just the beginning of a long journey towards the realization of the Academy as a center of excellence in Maritime Education and Training. Massive resources shall be required in this process . This will bring BMA to match other contemporary Maritime Education Training centers in the world.
