Principal Secretary Sri Lanka Security Meeting

Principal Secretary Shadrack Mwadime  who is currently attending the 3rd meeting of the IORA (Indian Ocean  Rim Association) on Maritime safety and Security in Sri Lanka. A key output of the forum is to review the action plan for the Indian Ocean States with and objective of enhancing maritime safety  and security in the region. Participants  in the meeting are drawn from 25 member states and 9 dialogue  Partners that are home to nearly 2.7 billion people  bound together by the Indian ocean, that includes Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa.

Addressing the meeting, the PS said Kenya has made considerable progress on enhancing Maritime Security and Safety of its waters for global trade  and business to thrive.
